Licensing

In addition to the general licensed software metrics, metrics are defined for CODESYS Communication which are checked during download.

Important

Some CODESYS Communication metrics are calculated only during the compile so that the sum of all metrics is displayed correctly in the editor only afterwards.

The determined values refer to one application. When multiple applications exist, the values of the individual applications are added up.

Number of communication tags

For the communication tags, variables from the following configurations are counted:

  • Communication Manager

  • Symbol Configuration

  • Data sources (Data Source Manager)

Variables with basic type (BOOL, INT, REAL, ...) are counted. In the case of arrays, each index is counted. In the case of structures. each variable in the structure is counted.
